You can pray for him because he is sick today. Also, call or email Chris and ask about the contest he won yesterday.
Our hectic schedule…
25 09 2007This time of year is always difficult for our family, what with football, school starting, church expectations, family expectation, and such, but this year, with our added family member, it has been almost impossible. At least, it feels almost impossible. I know that with God all things are possible, and He has graciously been giving me the strength to function, not to mention function well, at both work and home. Matt and I would definitely appreciate your prayers as we see very little of each other during this time of year…I get off work just in time for Matt to go to practice. We tag team child care, so at least Melody is with one of us or a family member all the time. I look forward to the upcoming holidays, because they mark a time of rest and actually getting to see my husband for more than an hour in a day (not counting sleep time, because we can’t talk when sleeping…haven’t figured that one out yet!)

97 percentile
12 09 2007We got the results of Melody’s check up and have found out that she is way above average. She is in the 97 percentile for height and 90+ percentile for weight. We are very grateful and thankful that we have a healthy and happy baby girl, who is continuing to grow and grow and hopefully will be like her mom and always overachieve.

Melody’s Rough Nights…
10 09 2007Most of you know that Melody is a very calm and happy baby. Well, the last 4 or 5 nights, she has been VERY unhappy. She has been either waking up screaming inconsolably, or refusing to be put down for bed in the first place. We think she is teething, but she didn’t have this much difficulty with the first 2 teeth. The timing on these night wakings is very bad, as this is only my 2nd week back to work, and poor Matt is at home with her during the day. She is tired and a little cranky during the day too, which makes his job harder. Please be praying for our little girl, that her pain will be eased. Pray for Matt and I also that our rest will be multiplied so we can function. We go in tomorrow for her 6 month checkup, so hopefully the doctor will be able to give us some advice and make sure there is nothing more wrong. I know God will give us the strength to get through this…it just doesn’t always feel that way when it’s 3am and she’s screaming…

God continues to bless..
3 09 2007So here I am on the cusp of going back to school. Many things continue to plague my mind (Melody’s well-being, my stress at work, our finances as I am technically on maternity leave pay wise until October, etc.), so I’ve been very distracted lately to say the least (just ask Matt…I keep saying strange things, I’m so distracted!) But in the midst of all this, God continues to faithfully provide to meet our needs. Just today we sold 2 big screen TVs that have been sitting in our garage for several months (much to my dismay!) for $150. This will help us greatly, filling in some of the blanks with my “maternity” scale paycheck. Also, we found out on Saturday that the Bowman family is going to graciously let us use their mini-van, allowing me to put my 1989 Ford Festiva , which has seen MANY better days, to rest. This is a HUGE blessing, as my Festiva is getting unsafe to drive, and I was constantly worried about my and Melody’s safety. God is good, and He continues to place us in the path of many blessings (who would ever have thought that Craigslist sales and mini-vans could be blessings?) We are SO thankful for how God is working, and are excited to see how He continues to work as we move into this new era of our life!
